Library Services

We offer a full range of books for all ages from first picture books for children to Large Print adult books and audio (cd) books.

Both Fiction and Non Fiction books are available Genres include Biographies, Fantasy, Hobbies, General Fiction, Crime, Romance, Historical, Western, Reference, Self help, Science Fiction, Travel etc.

If we do not have a particular book you would like to read on the shelf we can reserve / order a copy for you to be picked up from your local Library (provided it is listed and held in stock by Staffordshire Libraries, this is subject to a small fee). books may be renewed, or reserved in the library, by telephone or online. You will be notified via text when it is available. 

Once you are a library member you can make full use of the full range of Staffordshire County Council Staffordshire Libraries online services, including online reservations, online renewals, audio books, ebooks and magazines are also available and apps are available for IOS and android devices visit   Staffordshire Libraries   for further information.

Childrens Area 

A nice colourful and pleasing area ideal for small children to browse through a good range of of books for various ages, ** they may even be offered a sweet bar or lollipop **

Free Wifi  

Wifi is available in the Library ( you will need to register and log on with both your library and PIN numbers), forgotten your PIN ? ask a member of staff at the desk for assistance.  

Home reading

At Norton Canes Community Library we offer a home reading service for our more elderly and vulnerable members in the local Norton Canes area who are homebound and are unable to to visit the library. This service is again operated by volunteers who will deliver and pick up your books normally on a fortnightly basis. Please contact the library (01543 279592) for further information.

I.T. Suite

Once you are a library member, you will be able to gain free access to the internet via the use of a computer in our I.T. Suite, Simply Log on with your Library Membership Number and PIN number, forgotten your PIN ?, the library staff can assist with this). Generally this is a 1 hour session, (it may be extended via the desk provided there are no other users waiting or prebooked)

Generally you can walk in and request to use a computer, however there may be times where all are in use, you may pre-book a time slot by phone with the library, (please say if you need to use a scanner as this is only linked to 1 particular PC)

Printing, Photocopying, Scanning

Photocopying is done directly on our large Photocopier/Printer available for A3 & A4

Printing of any documents is via a PC in our IT Suite or from documents on your own USB stick (we cannot print direct from your own mobile phone, you would need to be able to access your documents via a PC in our I.T. Suite).

Our Scanner is operated via one of the PC's in our IT Suite max size A4 There is a charge per page for photocopying and printing, currently 15p for black and white, 50p for colour.

 Meeting Rooms
