Summer Reading Challenge

Each year a Summer Reading Challenge is issued to children.

This is part of a national scheme.

Overall in Staffordshire libraries nearly 10,000 children took part!

In 2026 there was a theme of Read to the Beat. The scheme has now finished for this year. Come back to this page next year for details of the new challenge. 

Norton Canes library had 97 children complete the challenge during July to September 2026. Each of them received certificate, medal and bookmark. Have a look at our Facebook page for photos of some of these children.
