Car Parking

During Library opening hours there are limited car parking spaces available for library visitors only at the rear of the library including disabled parking bays. (Please do not park in the entrance driveway)

Due to the limited parking available we do ask people to remove their vehicles a soon as their library visit is concluded, to allow other visitors to use the car park.

For overflow parking and normal public parking for the local shops there is a large free public car park behind the CO-OP Store, straight across the traffic lights from the library and turn first left, only about a 2 minute walk back to the library.

CAUTION:  PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LIBRARY CAR PARK IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC USE DURING THE PUBLISHED LIBRARY OPENING TIMES.

THE CAR PARK GATES WILL BE LOCKED WHEN STAFF LEAVE, AND WILL REMAIN LOCKED UNTIL THE NEXT PUBLISHED OPENING TIME. (this could be a number of days especially midweek (Closed Wednesdays), at weekends or over any Bank Holidays or extended holiday periods).

EVEN IF THE GATES ARE OPEN OUTSIDE THE PUBLISHED OPENING TIMES THIS WILL ONLY BE FOR USE BY LIBRARY  STAFF, GROUPS MEETING AT THE LIBRARY,  OR FOR CONTRACTOR  ACCESS FOR WORKS TO BE CARRIED OUT. THE GATES MAY BE LOCKED WITHOUT WARNING AND YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE LOCKED IN !    SO PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT THE REAR OF THE LIBRARY UNLESS YOU ARE A BONA FIDE LIBRARY VISITOR
